The Play Hive is a process art studio in Kwazulu Natal. We host mobile art workshops, birthday parties and messy play workshops. We are focused on children of all ages and abilities being absorbed in the process, experimenting and doing, rather than the end product. Hi Christy, Just wanted to let you know how impressed we were with your party set up. I brought my 3 girls, aged 2,4 and 6, thinking it could no way interest all these different ages-HOW wrong I was! They all played the entire time(not even stopping for a sweetie break), loving every second!It appealed to all ages and provided them with endless fun. I loved watching their little minds work at each station.So fantastic! Thank you so much for all your hard work!
Christy I just wanted to say a massive thank you for an incredible set up yesterday! All the kids had so much fun and Ollie even more so which made my heart so happy He literally couldn’t stop talking about the construction site! The effort and thought put into every aspect was amazing and every adult couldn’t stop gushing about it! The ladies helping you were so brilliant with the kids too! Thank you all so so much.
We just love The Play Hive. My little guy was living his very best life during each and every session. He was completely intrigued by the beautiful colours and incredible textures that were on offer. Each week we looked forward to seeing what theme was up next and what gorgeous sensory trays Christy had created for us to explore. I loved watching Lucas get stuck in at every station. The attention to detail was amazing and the experience fantastic for both Lucas and I. I seriously cannot recommend The Play Hive enough.
Brookie and I had a session at The Play Hive yesterday and IT BLEW MY MIND. Honestly nothing like it in Durban or KZN. Attention to detail and developmental theory was spot on without it being a “teach and do”. It flowed,it was natural. It was organic. Kids(and parents) did things in their own time. I don’t know who had more fun, Brookie or me.I took Brookie to spend more time with her and she was so beautifully regulated, captivated and involved. Thank you Christy.
