MEET OUR TEAM

 
 

This is me, Christy Knight. Owner and Creator of The Play Hive. For years I have had a vision and longing for a space like this, but never felt brave enough to put it out there. This changed when my beautiful boy, Milo, was born. My sweet Milo is my inspiration and reason for this space.

I am a qualified Foundation phase and ECD teacher. In my 15 years of working with children in many spheres, I have come to wholeheartedly know and believe that when children are respected, allowed creative freedom and given open ended, self directed activities, they are at their most successful, productive and fulfilled.

  • Buhle

    TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

    Meet Buhle. She is a creative, resilient and versatile individual. She has a degree in psychology and loves people. She is the teacher’s assistant for The Play Hive. She is fantastic at putting children and moms at ease with her bright smile and outgoing nature. One fun fact about her is that she doesn’t eat anything with sauce in it.

  • Slindile

    TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

    Meet Slindile. She is a compassionate, kind and very hard working lady. Sli is The Play Hive baby whisperer and children feel so at ease with her. She is a Play Hive teachers assistant. Growing up in a large family where love and care are the most important thing, has influenced her love and passion for working with children.

  • Ros

    ADMIN/CONTENT DESIGN

    Meet Ros. She is the face behind all our booking and event emails, invoicing, workshop admin and design work. She is a creative, responsible, efficient and highly dependable person. Ros’ organisation keeps The Play Hive communication, brand and systems ticking over seamlessly. One fun fact about Ros is she loves to dance.

  • Samke

    TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

    Meet Samke. She is a teacher’s assistant. She is a gem to work with. She brings jokes and humour to our events and keeps us laughing. Samke is a very friendly person who easily engages with children and new people. Not much stresses Samke. A fun fact about her is she is a great dancer.
